What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Why?
My favorite outdoor activity is camping. I enjoy being outdoors making memories with my family and friends.
Ten years ago, are you where you thought you would be now? How alike or different is it compared to what you imagined?
10 years ago, I had only been working for Standard Electric for about 1 year. I was told when taking the job that there would be no growth in the NC plants. Almost 11 years later we have more than doubled our business here in NC.
Who inspires you? Why?
My husband inspires me. He never has a negative thing to say, and he is always motivated to be better.
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
I am simple, a Texas Roadhouse steak and salad are my favorites.
What is your favorite part of working at Standard Electric? Why?
The laid-back family atmosphere is my favorite part of working at Standard Electric. Everyone is always so helpful and nice.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is take a cross country trip with my husband in our motor coach and have an extended stay in Alaska and then take a completely different route to return home.
What is your personal philosophy? How has this guided you?
Not to stress about things that are out of my control. I feel as if this has given me a life without added stress.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
I enjoy watching reality shows, mainly the game show types.
What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen/traveled to?
Mahogany Bay on a cruise ship.
What led you to this career?
I have always enjoyed the warehouse background. With my position at Standard Electric, I get to experience the warehouse aspect, but I also have the Customer Service experience.
